Herbal Medicine Classes
Richard is available to teach and/or lecture on a wide variety of topics related to plants and herbal medicine, including the following:
• Clinical uses of herbal medicines
• Diet and Nutrition
• Field Botany and medicinal plant walks
• Organic herb gardening
• Herbal medicine preparation

Mentorships and Study Groups in Herbal Medicine
Available in New York City and Sullivan County
Richard is currently mentoring students following the guidelines of the American Herbalists Guild Mentorship Program. He is open to discussing with any serious student the possibility of arranging for private mentoring sessions,or small study groups.
Prerequisites: At least an introductory knowledge of herbal medicine, and a commitment to serious study. Interview required.
Areas of Specialty: Clinical practice utilizing both Chinese and Western / Eclectic approaches. Beyond clinical herbalism, Richard can mentor students in medicine making, field botany (identification of medicinal plants in the wild), herb growing, and ethical wildcrafting.
Hourly Fee: Individually determined; sliding scale.

Teaching Experience
Richard has most recently taught as Director of the Clinical Herbalist Diploma Program at the Lehigh Valley Healing Arts Academy in Emmaus, PA.
